Paragon Drywall Ltd. (“Paragon Drywall”, “we”, “us”) is a commercial drywall subcontractor based in Chilliwack, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to pdrywall.ca and to the email we send and receive in the course of our business.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form on this website, we collect your first name, last name, email address, the service you are enquiring about, and any project details you choose to include. If you call or email us, we receive whatever information you provide in that correspondence.
Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or any third-party tracking on this website.
Business contact information
In the course of bidding work we collect business contact information for general contractors, developers, project managers and consultants — typically name, job title, business email, business phone and employer. Under PIPEDA, business contact information collected and used solely to communicate with an individual in relation to their employment or profession is not subject to the same consent requirements as personal information.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information to respond to enquiries and prepare estimates; to prepare, submit and follow up on bids and proposals; to deliver and administer work under contract; to send invoices and manage payment; to keep records required for tax, insurance, WorkSafeBC and legal purposes; and to send commercial messages about our services where we are permitted to do so.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Commercial email and CASL
We send commercial electronic messages to businesses in the construction industry. We do so in reliance on Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), on the basis of express consent, an existing business relationship, an existing non-business relationship, or the conspicuous publication of a business email address where the message is relevant to the recipient’s role.
Every commercial message we send identifies Paragon Drywall Ltd., gives our mailing address and a working contact method, and includes an unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days, as required by CASL. You may also unsubscribe at any time by emailing arsh@pdrywall.ca.
Service providers and where your information is stored
We use a small number of third-party providers to run our business. Some store or process data outside Canada, which means that information may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities of those jurisdictions.
- Hostinger — website hosting and server logs
- Brevo — outbound email delivery for website form notifications
- Microsoft 365 — business email and file storage
- Airtable and Make.com — contact records and email workflow automation
We use these providers only to the extent needed to run our business, and we require them to protect information to a standard comparable to our own.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function — essential WordPress session cookies and page-caching cookies. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is displayed.
Retention
We keep enquiry and bid records for as long as needed for the purpose collected and to meet legal, tax and insurance obligations — generally seven years for project and financial records. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted once they are no longer of use. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to any obligation we have to retain it.
Safeguards
We protect personal information with measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and multi-factor authentication on our business accounts, and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or withdraw consent to further contact. Email arsh@pdrywall.ca and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
Children
This website is directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
