Commercial Drywall · Insulation
Thermal and acoustic insulation with sealed vapour barriers for commercial fit outs, multi family builds, and tenant improvements.
Insulation is the thermal and acoustic layer installed inside walls, ceilings, and floors to control heat, sound, and moisture. Pristine Drywall installs batt, mineral wool, and spray applied insulation with sealed poly vapour barriers for general contractors and developers. Every assembly is installed to the approved drawings and the BC Energy Step Code, then left ready for inspection before board goes up.
Scope of work
The details
We install fibreglass batt, mineral wool, rigid board, and spray applied insulation, matched to the thermal and acoustic target of each assembly. Batt and mineral wool fill most wall and ceiling cavities, rigid board handles continuous exterior insulation, and spray foam seals irregular spaces and tight penetrations.
A vapour barrier stops warm, moist interior air from reaching cold surfaces inside the wall, where it would condense and feed mould and rot. We install a continuous 6 mil poly layer with taped and sealed seams on the warm side of the assembly, so the wall stays dry and the insulation keeps its rated value.
Yes. Acoustic batts inside a wall absorb airborne sound and raise the STC rating of demising and party walls. Paired with resilient channel and the right board, insulation is a core part of the sound rated assemblies that multi family and commercial projects require.

A vapour barrier is a continuous sheet, usually 6 mil poly, installed on the warm side of an insulated wall or ceiling. It stops interior moisture from passing into the assembly and condensing on cold surfaces. We lap and tape every seam and seal around penetrations so the barrier stays continuous.
Dense mineral wool batts give the strongest sound absorption in a cavity and are the usual choice for demising and party walls. Paired with resilient channel and a second layer of board, they lift the wall to the STC rating the project calls for.
Yes. We install insulation and air sealing to hit the effective R value and airtightness the BC Energy Step Code requires for the assembly, and leave it documented and ready for inspection before board goes on.
Yes. We stage insulation behind dust barriers and work around occupied or partially finished areas, keeping the site clean and access controlled so trades and tenants are not disrupted.
Insulation choice affects the rated assembly. Mineral wool is non combustible and is used in many fire rated and STC assemblies, and we install fire stopping and safing at floor lines and penetrations so the rating stays intact.
